EPF declares 6.15% dividend, Account 3 allocation capped

THE Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) has declared a dividend of 6.15% for both Simpanan Konvensional and Simpanan Shariah, amounting to a total payout of RM79.6bil.

EPF CEO Ahmad Zulqarnain Onn announced RM67.1bil for conventional accounts and RM12.5bil for shariah accounts. For 2025, EPF recorded distributable income of RM82.7bil, up 9.5% from 2024.

Investment assets grew to RM1.409 bil, driven by portfolio income and net contributions. EPF chairman Tan Sri Mohd Zuki Ali credited resilient equity markets and diversified investments for the strong performance.

Despite global trade tensions, EPF emphasised disciplined risk management and long-term strategy to safeguard members’ savings while delivering sustainable returns.

Meanwhile, the EPF has clarified that dividends for the financial year 2025 cannot be fully channelled into Account 3 (Flexible).

Ahmad Zulqarnain Onn explained that, under the law, dividends must be credited into their designated accounts.

In another statement on its official Facebook page, EPF said dividend payments are distributed based on balances across all three accounts: Retirement Account (Account 1), Wellbeing Account (Account 2), and Account 3.

The agency stressed that dividend allocation is subject to existing rules and cannot be adjusted to credit solely into Account 3. — Feb 28, 2026
