FORMER Barisan Nasional (BN) strategic communication deputy director Datuk Eric See-To who has been exposed by Economy Minister Rafizi Ramli as the person behind “Lim Sian See” has described the latter as “confident but crap” during their recent much-awaited hour-long face-to-face podcast.
As a seasoned politician, the pro-Najib (now incarcerated former premier Datuk Seri Najib Razak) blogger contended that Rafizi who has sent many pro-Madani backers over the moon by the revelation in the sixth episode of the Pandan MP’s Yang Bakar Menteri podcast “is confident in speaking and good at playing with words”.
“But he (Rafizi) didn’t answer many questions. Even if he answers, he lingers with the context,” See-To pointed out in a Facebook post, interjecting his personal opinion with that of his own fans/followers.
“There was a little bit of stammering because I think he was nervous having made public appearance for the first time. And he’s neither a politician nor a speaker or a debater. I like the way he (See-To) switches to new issues so that the podcast doesn’t drag and focuses on one issue at a time.”
See-To also claimed that there was an obvious plot twist in that instead of he being the one who was supposed “to roast the minister”, it was Rafizi who was busy posing questions to him.
On that note, See-To cited some observation from netizens that the podcast moderator had also tended to side Rafizi particularly when he posed a “yes or no question which Rafizi can neither twist nor run” only for the moderator to insist that he continue speaking for a further three minutes.
“When Rafizi posed a question, he escaped answering them,” opined a commenter cited by See-To. “For me, this podcast is more detrimental to Lim Sian See. Rafizi did not answer anything. His arrogance and hypocrisy remain unanswered. But he managed to use this opportunity to threaten and to bring down Lim.”
Whatever said and done, the PKR deputy president’s popularity must have skyrocketed judging from the numerous tributes he received across various social media platforms.
“🤣🤣🤣 this is the funniest part. In terms of writing, he looks clever. When talking, he seems to possess the brain of the walaun (PAS follower) level,” teased pro-Madani backer Adam Yusuf (@adamyusuf88) on the X platform.
🤣🤣🤣 ini paling kelakar
Dari segi penulisan nampak macam cerdik
Bila bercakap rupanya otak tahap Walaun je
Dia punya berlagak akhirnya masuk perangkap
Tolong sebarkan di FB sebab dia ni jadi sumber rujukan Walaun. Konon hebat sangat akhirnya tercidukpic.twitter.com/yxVsJyomYg

“He has fallen into a trap after having been so boastful. Please spread it on FB because he is a reference source for the walaun.”
In all fairness, the “Lim Sian See” exposé stole the limelight away from otherwise some provocative questions on various subjects which included the rare earth elements and Lynas’ involvement, 1MDB, Najib’s political donation/taxation issue and Rafizi’s previous calculations for fuel (diesel) prices.
What remains the highlight of the podcast is Rafizi’s call that those who had wished to file reports against the anonymous “Lim Sian See” could do so now after See-To outed himself.
“Before this, when the account was ‘fake’, of course no action could be taken. Now, I feel that the whole of Malaysia knows that Lim Sian See is actually Eric See-To,” revealed Rafizi confidently.
This follows See-To’s earlier remarks: “If I had written on the Lim Sian See page anything that was false, against the law or if I had twisted the facts, please take action against me. Until now, no one has done so because I provided all the facts.” – Oct 2, 2024
