Eversendai bags RM323 mil worth of new contracts

KUALA LUMPUR: Eversendai Corporation Bhd, via its group of companies in Malaysia, India and Qatar, has secured six new projects worth RM323 mil.

In a statement here today, the group said including the new projects, the group’s order book would increase to about RM1.87 bil, which would enhance its bottom line for 2020.

The newly-secured contracts include a structural steel link bridge connecting two buildings and structure for a retail leisure commercial project in Kuala Lumpur, as well as structural steel works for a commercial building project in Hyderabad, India.

The group continued to strengthen its position in the Middle East by securing three new contracts in Qatar – a commercial building podium structure, a hotel and a mixed-use building project, said Eversendai.

“With our established business clientele and market, we are confident of fortifying our strengths and maintain sustainable growth going forward,” its executive chairman and group managing director, Tan Sri A K Nathan, was quoted as saying in the statement.

“As we move forward to new frontiers, we will continue to uphold our integrity, discipline, dedication and commitment in all our undertakings to maintain our position as the global niche market leader.”
