EVERSENDAI Corporation Bhd has bagged a RM330 mil project with India’s largest real estate developer, almost doubling its contract wins to RM653 mil for the year.
The engineering group, according to a Feb 17 filing with Bursa Malaysia, was awarded the construction of the DLF Downtown IT Park project in Tharamani, Chennai, by DLF Info Park Developers (Chennai) Ltd.
The DLF Downtown IT Park project comprises two towers of a commercial building constructed using composite structures in fast track mode and is expected to be completed in a record time of 16 months.
According to Eversendai, this is its second job with DLF. The first, a 1.6 million sq ft commercial project also in Chennai, is “in the final stage of successful completion,” the group said.
The latest job win brings Eversendai’s order book to about RM2.2 bil as of Feb 17.
India remains a key market for Eversendai, contributing 14% of the group’s revenue.
This second DLF project, according to Eversendai executive chairman and managing director Tan Sri AK Nathan, would help position the company “for future contracts with DLF Ltd.”
