IT has come to our attention that some unscrupulous parties are distributing a fake article on Petra Group chairman and CEO Datuk (Dr) Vinod Sekhar, by using the masthead of Focus Malaysia and “crediting” the story to editor, Cheah Chor Sooi.
We understand that the fake article, which began circulating yesterday afternoon (March 11), has since been made widely available online.
Hence, we categorically deny that the said fake news had originated from our end and have since lodged a report with the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) on the matter. – March 12, 2022
