FBM KLCI falls 7.64 points to end at intraday low

BURSA Malaysia ended at its intraday low today, weighed down by technology, consumer products and healthcare stocks, led by Petronas Dagangan Bhd and Supermax Corporation Bhd.

At 5 pm, the benchmark FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) slipped 7.64 points to 1,601.88 from 1,609.52 at yesterday’s close.

The index opened 1.54 points higher at 1,611.06 and moved between 1,601.88 and 1,618.41 throughout the session.
On the broader market, losers led gainers 624 to 497, while 481 counters were unchanged, 494 untraded and 13 others suspended.

Total volume was higher at 6.8 billion units worth RM4.82 bil from 5.85 billion units worth RM4.06 bil on Monday. – Jan 19, 2020
