FBM KLCI futures close mostly flat

THE FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended mostly flat today in line with the lacklustre performance on the underlying cash market.

At the close, April 2022, May 2022 and September 2022 was traded unchanged at 1,602.50, 1,602.0, and 1,588.5, respectively, while June 2022 gained 0.5 of-a-point to 1,601.0.

Turnover rose to 7,032 lots from 6,686 lots on Wednesday, while open interest increased to 37,612 contracts from 36,761 contracts yesterday.

At 5pm, the benchmark FBM KLCI was 3.93 points lower at 1,600.79 compared with Wednesday’s close of 1,604.72. – April 7, 2022
