LIFE is so convenient for us foodies out there after the e-hailing services decide to extend into food delivery.
Now it is not the customer who goes to the restaurant, but the other way around. And with such an arrangement, everyone’s happy. Businesses are able to tap into a larger customer base while we foodies get to enjoy the food we like without being stuck in traffic jams.
It’s a win-win situation until we realise this arrangement is only viable if the rider involved in the crucial transit process can be trusted.
Take it from this very hungry rider here who was caught red handed on the CCTV camera, stealing some other people’s food after being finished with his delivery.
The video can be found at: https://x.com/update11111/status/1996092889307414623
Thankfully the CCTV camera had a good view of the rider’s plate number so it should be easy for justice to be delivered to him. No pun intended here.
Away from the jokes and sarcasm, the video is an eye opener for those people out there who rely a lot on Grab Food or even Food Panda.
Crime will happen when people think they are not being watched or if they feel they can get away without being caught.
Even in the past, there was a viral video where a food delivery rider was caught eating from the meal he was supposed to deliver. After eating a small portion of it, he would then push the meal back in place, keeping it neat so as not to incur suspicion.
That said, it is at times advisable to take our cars out and have our meal at the restaurant where it is prepared.
You never know what your food delivery rider will do when you are not watching. Perhaps the meal might taste sweeter too, with the addition of some secret “ingredient.”
That ingredient may be no other than the saliva from your friendly neighbourhood food delivery rider. Bon appetite. —Dec 3, 2025
