THE former foreign affairs minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Abdullah has dissociated himself from accusations that he is linked to an individual named Roslizal Razali who is currently being detained by the police.
“I strongly deny the allegation that I gave financial support to (the) individuals named Roslizal Razali or Datuk Arshad. I have nothing to do with what the two of them are reported to have done,” he wrote in a Twitter post.
“I was informed that there are several posts on social media linking me to an individual named Roslizal Razali who is currently being detained by the police for investigation under Section 4(1) of the Sedition Act 1948, Section 505 (c) of the Penal Code and Section 233 of the Communications & Multimedia 1998,” he wrote.

In the post, he also said he was advised by a lawyer—he did not name the person—who told him to make a police report and take legal action against those who spread slander against him.
“I was also advised by a lawyer to make a police report and will take legal action against individuals who spread slander and false facts regarding this issue where it is intended to affect my reputation.”
A Twitter user has however said the two individuals are now without help, without suggesting where they might have gotten the help from before the arrest of one of the individuals.

Buat Solidariti pun takde orang nak datang 😄😂🤣🤣🤣 pic.twitter.com/b5DupYC8KD— Burt Berkarat (@dermainejupri) April 15, 2023
In English, he is saying, “Pity @suffikamari and Roslizal Razali. No one wants to back them up, even for solidarity.”
The two individuals are, according to netizens, linked to the Perikatan Nasional (PN) while Pakatan Harapan (PH) supporters marked them as PN cyber troopers who were slandering on Twitter.

Tahukah anda Roslizal Razali akhirnya “dikutip” PDRM di KL semalam.
Tiada tempat utk mrk yg suka memfitnah & melaga-lagakan antara kaum.
Suspek ditahan di bawah Seksyen 4(1) Akta Hasutan 1948 & Seksyen 233 Akta Komunikasi dan Multimedia 1998.

“Did you know that Roslizal Razali was finally caught by PDRM in KL yesterday (April 12)? There is no place for those who like to slander and poke fire between races. The suspect was detained under Section 4(1) of the Sedition Act 1948 & Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998. Hope he can get bailed out before Hari Raya.” — April 15, 2023
