Meanwhile, a separate online photo captured free-haired women backing PKR’s Nurul Izzah in a recent selfie.
What could possible go wrong with such promotional materials? Perhaps it is a subtle way to nudge the free-haired ladies to vote for either of these parties?
However, when Malay girls are seen without the hijab to protect them from the fires of hell, surely netizens have something to say about it, and we are not disappointed.
Recently, an X user took the limelight for suggesting that there is little difference between the two political groupings, suggesting that both parties are employing similar tactics to appeal to free-haired female voters.
But the post has invited backlash from some netizens who turned it into a “tudung” affair.

Netizen @0flameprincess0 said turning the free-hair women into villains could cost votes.
“Are you guys okay? Do you realise how many votes in GE you would lose if you were to villianise non hijabis? Yes there is no difference. Sama je suka main sentimen dangkal mcm parti sebelah,” she said.
Another user responded to the initial statement from @oreo_koshka330, asking if a woman isn’t wearing the hijab, that would mean she would not be allowed to join PKR?
But, @oreo_koshka330 countered, saying she did not mention anything about anyone not wearing the hijab in the first place.
Nevertheless, some social media users used that opportunity to express their anger at the PKR of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
“PN, which previously spent millions on influencers and still lost, and now PKR wants to repeat the same script? Good luck, princess. I’m starting to feel disappointed with you and your father, who remains silent,” said @psikosong.
