French fare for the holidays

Saint Pierre Kuala Lumpur

In September last year, Saint Pierre Restaurant Kuala Lumpur made its debut to the delight of gastronomes in the Klang Valley.

Located within the swanky W Hotel, celebrity chef Emmanuel Stroobant and his talented team showcase their Michelin-starred cuisine and service at this modern French 70-seater eatery. Situated on the eighth floor, Saint Pierre’s chic interior offers an ambience that radiates style and comfort.

Chef Stroobant is not new to the bustling Malaysian capital, which was actually the launch pad for his continuous love affair with Asian-inspired elements. It is also the city where he met his Malaysian-born wife, and the couple has since become notable professionals in the F&B industry from the year 2000.

For this chef, a meal should be a deeply personal experience that enriches the mind, body and soul through the essence of ingredients and the ritual of the table. So, at Saint Pierre, ritual is paramount; it is warm and inclusive enhanced by service that is personal but never obtrusive.

With Christmas around the corner, the mood is distinctly merry at Saint Pierre. For the festive period, Chef Stroobant has prepared an exquisite Christmas Eve dinner menu, an eight-course meal featuring modern French fare.

Diners begin with canapés before continuing with fine de claire oyster, uni with black winter truffle, lobster with Iranian saffron, and Cornish chicken with cep mushroom. As for the main course, one can choose between the lamb with sage and juniper or Kyushu Wagyu. Desserts include Spiced Wine with orange and Cinnamon with rum and coconut.

Other joyous menus are New Year’s Eve Dinner (nine-course celebration), Festive Set Lunch Menu and Festive Corporate Dinner Menu; the latter two are available throughout December.
