Eighteen-year-old Doaa al-Zanin, displaced from Beit Hanoon in northern Gaza, now lives in an evacuation centre. Israel’s war on Gaza has turned classrooms into makeshift homes and shelters, with students marking off the days since the war began.
Despite the bombing and displacement, Doaa continues to study, though she won’t be able to sit her exams as all universities in Gaza are either damaged or destroyed.
