INTEGRATED facilities management service provider GFM Services Bhd and its subsidiary companies secured a contract to provide operations and maintenance (O&M) services as PIC Village 1& 2 and all the associated facilities, non-process building and gate-houses at Pengerang Integrated Complex (PIC) in Johor.
GFM’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Global Facilities Management Sdn Bhd secured letters of award (LOA) from PRPC Utilities and Facilities Sdn Bhd as well as Petronas Refinery and Petrochemical Corporation Sdn Bhd for the O&M services of the building premises occupied by both companies, respectively.
According to a statement by GFM released yesterday, the contract is valid for a period of three years from the commencement date on Sept 14, 2020.
It was also mentioned that under the LOA, GFM’s scope of services comprise of O&M services of buildings, common facilities and utilities, preservation of buildings and facilities, among others.
“This marks our second undertaking providing FM services at the PIC as we had previously provided workers camp management services during the construction period of a stream cracker plant there,” GFM executive vice chairman Ruslan Nordin said in the statement.
“We expect this contract to contribute positively to the group’s earnings and replenish the group’s outstanding orderbook,” he added. – Oct 2, 2020
