Glitz and glamour EID Mubarak Prêt-à-Porter showcase at Ames Hotel

SHENG Tai International Sdn Bhd, an award-winning developer which specialises in property tourism, is set to transform Melaka into a creative and cultural hub akin to Milan with its glamourous EID Mubarak Prêt-à-Porter showcase.

Staged at the AMES Hotel in Melaka, this by-invite only event was presented by Fashion TV Academy Malaysia, a collaboration between Sheng Tai International and FashionTV, the international fashion and lifestyle broadcasting television channel from Paris.

EID MUBARAK Prêt-à-Porter showcased unique ready-to-wear Raya pieces for females and males from 10 local designers. They include Yan Creations, Kalai, Baqo, Faramas, Amin Jauhary, CARRO, Jayk, Sri Candy, Suliani, and Bill Keith, Malaysia’s renowned and international designer.

The creation also featured attractive and fashion-forward Raya outfits for everyone regardless of body type.

“Since we entered the partnership with FashionTV from Paris, Sheng Tai International has been pro-actively spurring the growth of our local fashion industry through various fashion events or initiatives,” commented Sheng Tai International’s founder and chairman Datuk Leong Sir Ley.

“The EID Mubarak Prêt-à-Porter is one of them. It was conceptualised to provide the entire fashion ecosystem, including local designers, models, and make-up artists, a platform to showcase their talents and reconnect with vast audiences of consumers.”

Leong said the showcase has achieved its goal with good response received thus far.

“With the re-opening of the borders, we are positive that we can continue to spearhead more creative and cultural initiatives to elevate Malaysia, particularly Melaka, into the next Milan and play our part in steering through economic recovery caused by COVID-19,” she added.

Additionally, Sheng Tai International has also opened a Straits Designer Gallery at its Metrasquare as part of its ongoing efforts to reshape Melaka into a “creative and cultural hub of the future” through its properties.

Measuring about 5,500 sq ft, the Straits Designer Gallery showcases over 60 local designers’ latest ready-to-wear collections, shoes, clutches and accessories. – April 30, 2022
