THE government under Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has demonstrated a strong commitment to supporting Palestine by bringing Gaza genocide victims to Malaysia for medical treatment, said Global Peace Malaysia (GPM) in a statement.
It stated that this initiative underscores Malaysia’s dedication to the Palestinian cause.
Malaysia has been an outspoken advocate on the international stage, calling for an end to the genocide and the prosecution of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
GPM commended Malaysia’s efforts, stating, “This is a clear manifestation of Malaysia’s commitment to fighting for the rights of the oppressed.
“We urge all Malaysians, especially NGO activists, to support these efforts. By uniting and focussing on the Palestinian cause, Malaysia can enhance its role as a ‘middle power’ in advancing global justice and peace.”
GPM continues its support through ongoing humanitarian efforts coordinated by Dr Tareq al-Talmas in Gaza, working alongside Ops Ihsan.
The organisation pointed out the need for an immediate cessation of hostilities and the urgent start of rebuilding a free and sovereign Palestine. – Aug 18, 2024
