THE value of an enterprise depends on its corporate culture and brand effect. Through stringent standards and verification procedures, the ShangHai International Prestige Business Awards (SHIPBA) 2024 did exactly that to celebrate the achievements and to promote the business spirit of outstanding companies.
Held at the One World Hotel on May 16, SHIPBA 2024 not only accords the highest recognition for entrepreneurs but also serves as a benchmark for Malaysian enterprises.
Themed the “Five Elements”, SHIPBA centred on the creation of a grand feast to celebrate the splendid achievements of entrepreneurs in the business world. The SHIPBA trophy itself is based on the Five Elements of metal, wood, water, fire and earth which hold extraordinary significance and collection value.
Continuing the themes of “Gold” and “Wood” from the previous two editions, SHIPBA 2024 took theme of “Water” which symbolises the mission and achievements of enterprises in “embracing all rivers, breaking waves and embarking on great ventures with a sense of courage and accomplishment”.
In his opening address, ShangHai Media Sdn Bhd CEO Datin Dr Cherlin Cheah emphasised that SHIPBA instills a sense of mission and recognition for companied by not only fostering business growth but also driving commercial development.
Selangor & Kelantan royal family member Tengku Datuk Dr Hishammudin Zaizi who was the event’s guest-of-honour encouraged companies to leverage the prestigious SHIPBA award to strive towards greater goals while at the same time promote national economic development.
A total of 74 major awards, including Company Honour Awards; Industry Leader Awards; and Personal Achievement Awards were presented at SHIPBA 2024.
The Company Honour Awards comprised Signature Outstanding Business; Leading Excellence Business; Emerging Magnificent Business; and Rising Star Business which recognise outstanding performance and contributions in the industry.
The Industry Leader Awards which include the Successful Automation Business and the Master Agency Award aim to recognise companies with good performance and profitable growth as leaders in their industries.
Meanwhile, the Personal Achievement Awards boasts four subcategories: (i) Outstanding Entrepreneur of The Year; (ii) Young Entrepreneur of The Year; (iii) Prominent Entrepreneur of the Year; and (iv) Excellent Leader of The Year which recognise elites, leaders and market innovators which play an important role in the development of Malaysian enterprises.
The SHIPBA 2024 concluded with a lucky draw session in which the grand prize was a 10-day, nine-night European trip worth RM45,660 sponsored by Voyage Western Tour & Travel Sdn. Bhd.
