GoCar Malaysia entered into a partnership with Smart Selangor Parking (SSP) and Flexi Parking (FP) to provide smart solutions for traffic and parking congestions, while reducing carbon emissions at the same time.
Effective Nov 23, 2020, GoCar users will be able to utilise its One-Way Trip feature (previously known as Free-Floating) by parking at public parking lots without worrying about payment.
The feature allows the users to book cars with more flexibility and control, paying only when needed and choosing their preferred drop off location later on, with the addition of more drop off locations compared to before.
“(The partnership) makes it much easier for our users to get nearer to their destinations and drop off the cars at their convenience, bringing us closer to seamless urban mobility,” said GoCar chief operating officer Ham Yon Han.
“While the feature is currently only available in Petaling Jaya and Subang Jaya, we’re planning to make other areas available by the end of the year,” he added.
To enable the new street parking feature, users simply need to ensure their GoCar app is updated to the latest version (v4.2 onwards), book a One-Way Trip in the app, select a pickup place and drop it off at any available location. – Nov 28, 2020
