Grab boosts seamless collaboration and engagement with Zoom

SOUTHEAST Asian superapp, Grab, is tapping into the Zoom Video Communications platform to enhance employee collaboration and engagement across its offices.

The company is using a wide range of Zoom platform solutions, including Zoom Rooms, Zoom Events, Zoom Meetings and Zoom Webinars to support its employees’ success in the flexible and hybrid work environment, according to Zoom in a statement.

Grab operates across the deliveries, mobility and digital financial services sectors, serving over 500 cities across Southeast Asia.

With employees and teams spread across Southeast Asia and beyond, Grab is leveraging Zoom to ensure its workforce is provided with the right technology to work seamlessly and effectively.

To facilitate collaboration among its employees, Grab has deployed Zoom Rooms across 400 meeting and conference rooms in its offices. The company is also using Zoom Whiteboards and Zoom Mesh for internal town halls as well as Zoom Events and Zoom Mesh for large-scale company events.

Grab is using Zoom Meetings and Webinars to communicate virtually with hybrid teams, partners and customers. The company has also integrated Zoom for Workspace Reservation and piloted the use of Zoom IQ for Sales, a conversational intelligence software, to upskill account managers of the Grab for Business platform.

“At Grab, we recognise the importance of building a work culture of collaboration and continued growth. This is only possible if we set our teams up for success with the right technology and resources, said Grab head of engineering (Grabber Technology Solutions) Adam Seyer.

“With our teams spread across Southeast Asia and beyond, integrating with Zoom across a wide range of use cases enables us to collaborate and work effectively.”

As a company focused on fostering and enabling innovation, Zoom is thrilled to support Grab in its mission to drive Southeast Asia forward with its platform solutions.

“This is an exciting region to operate in and we look forward to enabling more companies here as they grow and innovate,” said Zoom head of Asia Pacific Ricky Kapur.

The use of video conferencing platforms like Zoom has become increasingly common in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic which has forced many companies to adopt remote and hybrid work models.

By leveraging Zoom, Grab is able to ensure its employees are able to collaborate and work effectively regardless of their physical location.

As businesses across Southeast Asia continue to innovate and grow, the use of collaboration tools like Zoom will likely become even more essential in facilitating effective communication and collaboration among teams.

With its reliable and secure platform designed for collaboration, Zoom is well-positioned to support businesses in the region as they navigate the challenges and opportunities of the digital age. – May 9, 2023
