Green Cities: HCK all fired up to launch its newest concept

WITH the success of the education cities, HCK Group (HCK) is now poised to launch its next concept – green cities.

Taking note of post-pandemic buyer sentiment, HCK realised that having been cooped up indoors during the prolonged lockdowns, many people are yearning for an outdoors lifestyle.

HCK prides itself as a maker of quality properties that go beyond the mere provision of shelter. This is reflected in its education cities developments that sought to provide each project with extra impetus with an education element anchoring them.

Having premium international schools and other higher education institutions within the vicinity not only addresses the need for quality schooling within these developments but also lures investors with the promise of high rental demand from students.

These education institutions also make the commercial aspects of each development the more attractive by providing constant heavy footfall in the area.

This education cities concept has worked well for HCK with it bagging several prestigious industry awards in recent years, the latest being The Star Property Awards 2021, where edusphere was given The Proximity Award (Merit) for Best Integrated Developer.

The recent announcement that SEGi University and College will be opening a campus in edumetro, Subang also led to an obvious spike in sales and leasing enquiries, highlighting that the education cities concept does indeed have the pulling power.

Recent feedback from HCK sales galleries also confirm that staff have been receiving more enquiries from parents of students.

For instance, there have been a lot of enquiries from parents of tertiary-going students at edusphere, Cyberjaya.

Reports from the ground indicate that many parents are considering buying a suite to house their child while they study and renting it out post-graduation. Given that edusphere has a number of higher education institutions in the vicinity including the on-site Cyberjaya University, potential purchasers of residential units will be assured of high rental demand.

The other development in HCK education cities series is edusentral in Setia Alam, Shah Alam. This development is anchored by the prestigious Peninsula International School, which is one of just two schools in Malaysia to offer the Australian curriculum.

With a purpose-built campus that is replete with digital hubs, swimming pool and outdoor playing fields, Peninsula is attracting many young families to edusentral. Having an international school right at the doorstep is certainly an attraction for many parents with school-going children.

The decision to launch its Green Cities series is based on the aforementioned public yearning for an outdoor lifestyle. This can be seen from the surge of people thronging public parks and popular hiking trails once lockdown restrictions were lifted.

The first offering that is set to be launched under the Hiijauan Broga project in Semenyih will be the landed freehold villas. The launch is expected to be in the third quarter of 2022.

These villas will have spectacular vistas of the popular hiking trail that is Broga Hill. The nature reserve will allow residents to experience a green lung environment, right at their very doorstep.

These landed villas will boast tasteful colonial façades with ingenious interior design that allow for multi-generational families to live under one roof but in separate living spaces.

Another value-added proposition of Hiijauan Broga is that the outdoor lifestyle will be further augmented by open public spaces within the development. These will include as a communal garden, walking trails and exercise decks.

The lockdowns have also made many hanker after a lifestyle that is more social in nature. Hiijauan Broga addresses this need with condo-style facilities such as a clubhouse and other amenities which promote closer community ties. All this within a 30-acre freehold site which will be developed in four phases.

Those who are looking for the above qualities in a development should keep their eyes peeled for news on the impending launch of Hiijauan Broga.
