PAS president Tan Sri Hadi Awang has hit out at Amanah which has contributed immensely to DAP by diligently serving as a defence bulwark without having to be told, very much the manner the Gurkha soldiers in the British army behaved in the past.
After all, this is inevitable as the party is beholden to both PKR and DAP given the purpose of its establishment is “to fight PAS after its failure to dominate or damage PAS internally”.
“They were openly given a place in Pakatan Harapan (PH) till they were put to contest as candidates against PAS, especially in mixed constituencies which boast DAP supporters,” penned Hadi in his latest Minda President PAS rambling.
“In addition, they were also given places in the cabinet and government-linked companies (GLCs) after PH succeeded in establishing the government.”
The controversial cleric also took a jibe at Amanah for having “secured almost 100% votes from DAP supporters and a few additional votes from Malays who are mentally dizzy or who can be bought”.
“In fact, it can be witnessed how Amanah became DAP’s spokesman to attack PAS by opposing the amendment to the RUU (Bill) 355 or Act 355 which is related to the Islamic takzir punishment that was to be introduced,” recalled Hadi.
“Both developments are very scary to DAP and liberal groups who are all out to prevent the implementation of sharia law. This is because they fear that the move will gain the support of non-Muslims when the latter begin to witness its implementation and are themselves open to the implementation of Islamic law in various aspects of their lives.”
Amanah aside, Hadi further took a pot shot at UMNO whose members merely “want to save themselves from their own personal problems or who have long been installed as agents of PKR which is in cohort with DAP to dominate UMNO or to destroy the big Malay party”.
“This is so much so that UMNO has deviated from its original principles and foundation of its struggle to defend the religion, race and nation. This has caused many disgruntled UMNO grassroots members to save themselves from the sinking UMNO ship,” observed the Marang MP.
“There are those in UMNO who are currently behaving like Gurkha trainees by pledging their absolute loyalty to DAP and PKR. In fact, some have put one foot down opportunistically when they saw the recent six state polls outcome while others were dumbfounded and didn’t bother to vote.” – Aug 24, 2023
