PAS president Tan Sri Hadi Awang is adamant that Malaysia will be blessed with ultimate peace alongside thriving prosperity once Islam is fully implanted in the country.
Citing a conversation between Prophet Muhammad and one Adi bin Hatim who refused to accept Islam because he thought Islam was weak and could easily be defeated, the Holy Prophet explained that “the victory of Islam would still come with the permission of Allah”, according to the 77-year-old cleric.
“Do you know Putrajaya? The Putrajaya that is in power today? The time will come when Islam will conquer Putrajaya,” he told the 71st Central PAS annual muktamar (general assembly) in his adjournment speech at the at the Kedah PAS Complex in Alor Setar yesterday (Sept 16).
“When Islam rules, O Adi, Allah will grant abundant wealth … there will be peace everywhere.”

When Islam rules the land, the seven-term Marang MP further envisages that women can travel safely without an escort because “the evil criminals will submit to the greatness of Islam”.
Nevertheless, Hadi cautioned Muslims against being rash in their quest to press for victory – particularly, the Islamist party’s Youth wing which rushed to nominate him as a PAS’ Prime Minister (PM) choice after Bersatu president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin claimed that Perikatan Nasional (PN) has no qualms to endorse him as PM11.
Preparation for GE16
“Because the ones who are most eager to win are often the youth till our Youth wing supporters even went as far as wanting to appoint the PM,” quipped the PAS supremo who was seemingly in a pink of health after going through a heart procedure at the National Heart Institute (IJN) in mid-June.

In his keynote address on Monday (Sept 15), Hadi has outlined six agendas for PAS in anticipation of the 16th General Election (GE16). They include:
- Need for PAS Youth and its women’s wing to rally the younger generation by highlighting more leadership figures who can be the voice of the rakyat and icons for young people.
- The need for cleric leaders to unite religious scholars from various schools of knowledge and madrasah while accepting differences between sects as a treasure trove of knowledge instead of weaponising it as a source of friction that weakens the political power of Islam in the country.
- Emphasising that the people’s welfare to bring PAS closer to the community.
- The party’s Non-Muslim Supporters Wing, its National Unity Council and the Missionary Council play an important cross-racial support role, especially in penetratng non-Muslim majority areas as well as in raking in decisive votes in Muslim majority areas.
- Administration at national, state, division and branch level must be further enhanced to be the driving force of the party, especially in defending existing victories.
- The coaching and cadre training programme for members and leaders at all levels should be strengthened by focusing on putting oneself close to Allah, deepening religious knowledge and fostering the values of brotherhood, steadfastness and sincerity. – Sept 17, 2025
