PAS president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang is encouraging UMNO members to support the Perikatan Nasional (PN) candidate in the Simpang Jeram state by-election, stating that it is their duty to safeguard the nation and Islam.
Unfortunately for the green party, netizens are vehemently against any sentiments of them trying to pull UMNO in.
Penghancur negara, agama dan bangsa melalui fitnah dan pembohongan yang berleluasa…saksi2 akan bercakap memberi keterangan melawan kamu di padang mahsyar nanti….

(“The destroyer of country, religion, and nation through widespread slander and deception… witnesses will testify and provide evidence against you on the field of resurrection.)

(When casting our vote, we are obligated to vote as responsible citizens to ensure the prosperity, progress and success of our country. We shouldn’t vote for someone who rides along and causes the people to lose jobs, raise the white flag, endure years of hardship and deter investors.)
Netizens are implying the white flag and crusty water with reference to the duration of PN’s rule in Malaysia. That was mostly during the height of COVID-19.
Many lost their jobs and were forced to raise flags in order to receive aid. However, as per usual, the user made the comment that Kelantan and other PAS states do not have accessible clean water for their local populations.
It is very clear that netizens are against the idea of PN and BN working together. Social media users are tired of the constant drama the opposition party puts on everyone.
Nevertheless, support for the PAS move to call on UMNO members to join PN was scarce on the thread.
Meanwhile, user @syafiqulhakimi was perhaps sarcastic. He said it is true that under PAS rule there were no concerts and there were only Islamic programmes.
Betul tu haji..masa haji dalam kerajaan mana ada concert antarabangsa ni semua..semua program ugama je kan

(That’s true, haji. When haji was administrating, there hasn’t been international concerts like these. Only religious programs, right?) – Aug 27, 2023
