EVERY wife would love to return to see a hardworking husband, perhaps one who is caring for the home or the children. But is this always the case?
Recently, a video went viral where a wife caught her husband sleeping with his tablet still on.
And what did she find? The poor, tired man was playing slots on his device, undoubtedly trying to earn some money to relieve the family’s burden.
But of course, gambling is forbidden in Islam so the wife wasn’t too impressed about it. Netizens, however, found the story rather hilarious.
Sakitkan balik keje malam penat2 dgn harapan nk jumpa suami 🥹tapi lain pulakkk yg aku jumpa 🤗kata berubah siap hapus bukti tiap kali balik keje tapi masih ketagih dgn benda2 takde pekdahhh ni 💔

According to @zydabqry, what’s funny was the fact that the wife recorded it immediately and posted it on social media.
“He looked for money until he slept,” said @GarmentoRacko.
On a more serious note, @Defa4ut suggested that the lady divorce her husband. Several others pointed out that these gamblers were either problematic individuals or they were incurable.
However, the sleeping husband had his defenders too. Netizen @muqTeddy said the wife had a low IQ for trying to get attention on the cyberspace. “Apparently it didn’t cross her mind to discuss the matter with her husband first,” he said.
“This is the type that opens the shame of their husband,” said @arman_sxlleh while one netizen said the solution to this problem was to marry another woman.
@bffuhd sarcastically added that if he married another woman, god would likely give him a jackpot for performing the sunnah.
On another note, a sharp netizen by the name of @kecekgonamo claimed that he once won RM1,000 by betting RM150. “After the withdrawal I don’t play anymore. With these things, you win once and it is over,” he said.
Perhaps the most pertinent comment came from @ajutz86 who said these gambling addicts are unaware of the gambling app and how it was adjusted to favour the owner. “But that is it. Foolish people cannot be taught,” he said. —June 1, 2025
