TOP-NOTCH influencer Shermine Hau Shi Ni (a.k.a. Shermine Hau-Ah Moi) who recently lost her husband to an ironically Muslim ‘homewrecker’ employee in a love triangle is fighting back with all her might to win back her share of the business that the couple has set up during their eight years of marriage.
First thing first, Shermine who claimed to have been forced into signing divorce paper with her estranged spouse, renowned TikTok content creator-cum-entrepreneur husband Chin View Hau (or View Chin to his Malay fan base) on Dec 1 last year, has also lost the custody of her three young daughters in the process.
“VC (View Chin) and I are in the midst of breaking up out our company while our staff are also in discussion as to how best to facilitate the separation. The terms are still being discussed,” she penned on her official Facebook page.
“So, netizens kindly refrain from making any assumption … please allow me to settle this issue first following which I shall make an announcement”.
For context, View Chin who had cheated on Shermine right under her nose by having dated the staff Amirah Aqilah Firdaus a.k.a. Mira who is also an influencer herself, had counter-claimed during a recent interview with China Press that it was Shermine who had cheated on him by having engaged in extramarital affairs.
Interestingly, View Chin had previously told Malay news portal Kosmo! that he has to temporarily take a break from his business to solve his personal problems especially with his business potentially incurring losses amounting to millions of ringgit.
“The possibility for suppliers and product brands withdrawing from marketing their products with me is high if the crisis between myself and my ex-wife continues,” he justified.
A TikTok creator-cum-influencer with 1.5 million followers, Shermine has won the hearts of her multi-racial fans and fellow netizens who even rallied behind her as she wanted to report Mira to the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM) for destroying her marriage.
“Netizens have asked if I don’t have proof to expose (her ex-husband’s relationship with Mira). Yes, all the evidence will be shown in the court late but just that my lawyer advised me against posting them on the social media again,” Shermine pointed out.
“As for netizens who are on VC’s side who remarked that both of us are already divorced and that I should move on and leave the two (View Chin and Mira) alone, I want them to be clear as to who messed with my life and that of my children first? Really atrocious.”
On this note, Shermine claimed that her divorce with View Chin is invalid and that she will initiate legal action against both View Chin and Mira.
“On the subject of divorce, I shall pursue the legal channel to find settlement. That I’m silent doesn’t mean that I’m weak. As for those who think that this is all part of a marketing gimmick, is my staff (Mira) kissing her boss (View Chin) a marketing gimmick? This is never part of my marketing strategy.”
Even as her relationship with View Chin seems irreparable, her motherly instinct dictates that her ex-husband is “still the father of my children” and because “they miss their father, I have allowed them to meet him.”
“While we can settle the adult problems ourselves, the kids are unaware what’s going on. So, give the children space by not making it difficult for them. Because they are about to go to school, please abstain from posting their photos (on social media) without informing me,” pleaded Shermine.
Regardless of what had happened, Shermine said she “has risen from the ashes” for the sake of her children’s future.
“My heart still hurts but there’s nothing much that I can do (now). To move on is easier said than done but I have to focus on keeping myself busy with work to forget all my misery, right?” she philosophised.
