RECENTLY the cyberspace has been abuzz with sightings of a load of construction bars placed right above a busy traffic.
To make matters worse, those bars were supported by fragile-looking frames, which suggest a tragedy just waiting to happen.

The netizen who made the post on X wondered if the authorities will be making any safety checks on it.
Looking at how it was perched precariously, Ir.Kumar in the comment section said, “A disaster in waiting! Thanks for the heads up man!”
Another worried netizen claimed that it was the road to his house, that if the load were to fall, it would cause a terrible traffic jam.
Paliyakyakyeay sarcastically added that as long as there is no case, it means the work is safe.
A great number of netizens could be seen expressing their concerns regarding the situation.
“Although the structure and construction SOP are safe, the location in the middle of a busy road with high traffic presents many possibilities for incidents, such as heavy vehicles veering off course and crashing into and knocking down the falsework,” said another netizen.
TheBabayaga pointed out that the scaffolding for such work is usually heavy duty, and that these can go above 300 kg per sq m.
One netizen decided to allay their fears by explaining the rational behind the work.
Another netizen helpfully attached a photo to show a better view of the situation.
