JOHOR Ruler decreed that food aid must be given to all who are in need, regardless of the person’s ethnicity.
“There are so many people out there who have lost jobs and income, having problems procuring even basic food times.
“If you want to help, do it sincerely irrespective of their racial or religious background,” Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar said, in a Facebook post today.
His Majesty made the statement in response to a viral video, showing a grocery shop in Skudai, Johor barring food aid to members of a particular race.
Upset over the matter, Sultan Ibrahim said that racial harmony has always been the source of strength of the state, stressing the unity of Bangsa Johor.
Citing his organisation, the Sultan Ibrahim Johor Foundation (YSIJ), His Majesty have decreed for the latter to deliver aid to everyone across Johor regardless of racial background.
“Our aim is to help those need. So, there is no need to talk about racial issues when it comes to helping people,” he remarked. – July 26, 2021
