HONDA Malaysia Sdn Bhd will gradually resume its after-sales services starting from today after obtaining the approval from the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI).
However, the carmaker said its sales offices, manufacturing plant and dealer showrooms will remain closed during phase four of the Movement Control Order (MCO).
In a statement today, it said all necessary precautions will be taken at its dealerships nationwide to protect the safety and well-being of its valued customers and associates.
“The resumption of the after-sales services comes with the implementation of proactive precautionary measures in accordance with guidelines and regulations set by MITI and other relevant bodies, including frequent sanitisation and disinfection of the facilities,” it said.
Managing director and CEO Toichi Ishiyama said Honda Malaysia will comply with the extension of MCO in support of the efforts taken by the Malaysian government and the people amidst the Covid-19 pandemic.
At the same time, he said, customers need to have their cars in good, reliable condition and hence, require maintenance services.
“As we resume our after-sales services, we emphasise the importance of continuing to adhere to the MCO rules by being attentive and taking precautions, especially in practising good hygiene through sanitisation and disinfection, general cleanliness and social distancing.
“Honda is one of the automobile marques trusted by many Malaysians, and we deeply value the safety, well-being and health of our customers, service advisers and technicians,” he said, adding that the precautionary and control measures will be strictly implemented at Honda dealerships nationwide. — April 29, 2020, Bernama
