HWGB Biotech Sdn Bhd is hoping to collaborate with the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation Malaysia (Mosti) on its research study and distribution of the E-Mo COVID-19 vaccine, developed by E-Mo Biology Inc (EBI).
HWGB Biotech, a wholly owned subsidiary of Ho Wah Genting Bhd (HWGB), said the potential collaboration would support the company’s participation in a research study on the COVID-19 vaccine.
“It is also a positive step for HWGB Biotech’s efforts to plan for the distribution of the E-Mo COVID-19 vaccine developed by EBI into Malaysia,” it said in a statement today.
HWGB Biotech general manager, medical and pharmaceutical research Dr Yaman Walid Kassab hoped the company will receive the necessary support from Mosti on the distribution of the vaccine.
“In light of the current COVID-19 situation in Malaysia, it is imperative for us to work fast to provide a safe, affordable and easily accessible vaccine for the masses to ensure immunity to COVID-19,” he added. – Dec 9, 2020
