Hyatt Place, Miss CosmoWorld set to bring Malaysia Truly Asia hospitality to the world

WHAT happens when beauty meets prestige? Malaysia is set to be on the world map of beauty pageants when 30 beautiful contestants of Miss CosmoWorld 2023 meet and stay at the prestigious Malaysia’s first Hyatt Place Kuala Lumpur Bukit Jalil.

Victor Lye Say Kuang, Mygres Ceremiche Sdn Bhd CEO who represents Hyatt Place envisages such collaboration as able to help promote Malaysia in the international arena, more so as a tourism hub.

With the opening of international borders, beauty pageants are back and play an important role in boosting the tourism industry as well as celebrating and empowering women.

Hyatt Place which officially opens two weeks ago will be sponsoring a generous sum of RM340,000 for this Miss CosmoWorld 2023 by providing accommodation, ample event spaces and sumptuous food and beverages.

International celebrity and Miss CosmoWorld pageant founder Carrie Lee further shared that
Miss CosmoWorld 2023 contestants will be staying at Hyatt Place from Nov 15 to Dec 4. A joint media conference that will feature 30 Miss CosmoWorld contestants from around the world will be held at Hyatt Place on Nov 21.

“All our trainings will also be held here. The hotel has 250 spacious rooms, gym facility, a beautiful swimming pool and even an Italian restaurant,” Lee told a media conference after a memorandum of understanding (MOU) signing ceremony between Hyatt Place and Miss CosmoWorld 2023.

“And we hope the countries from around the world will get to know and grow fond of Hyatt Place Bukit Jalil.”

As an official partner, Hyatt Place will serve as a home to all Misss CosmoWorld contestants by providing them with spacious accommodation, sumptuous meals and access to the hotel facilities for both training and relaxation.

In fact, the hotel will host several pageant events, including the talent show and media conferences while creating an engaging atmosphere and purposeful service for the contestants.

“We are thrilled to join hands with Hyatt Place whose commitment to excellence mirrors our own dedication to empowering and celebrating the intelligence and strength of young women,” enthused Lee.

Strategically located next to the Pavilion Bukit Jalil mega shopping mall, the 250-room Hyatt Place also boasts 250 spacious rooms, an infinity pool and a fitness centre with a yoga room and a well-facilitated 420 sq metre ballroom and meeting rooms.

To tickle the taste buds of foodies, Hyatt Place has an all-day dining restaurant, Kuang’s Café and Valentina, a Cucina eBar on the rooftop serving authentic Southern Italian dining experience.

Above all else, the seventh edition of the Miss CosmoWorld 2023 pageant aims to promote tourism, culture and heritage and will see the 30 international contestants competing for the coveted crown and US$100,000 in cash prize on Nov 29.

“If you can look around, the hotel is very spacious, beautiful and clean. We want a premium brand to represent our country to promote to the world. The name Hyatt itself serves that purpose,” quipped Lee in reply to a question on searching for the right hotel during the MOU media conference.

Earlier, both Lye and Lee inked the MOU between Hyatt Place and Miss CosmoWorld with the event witnessed by Selangor royalty member Tengku Datuk Dr Hishammuddin Zaizi, Tourism Malaysia director-general Datuk Dr Ammar Abd Ghapar and Seputeh MP Teresa Kok Suh Sim. – Oct 16, 2023
