UNABLE to tolerate attacks against PAS president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang, the former’s youth leader criticised UMNO president Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi for being disrespectful.
“If you want Hadi to become a zoologist, what about you Zahid? A magician? One time you can become so sick that you can’t court hearing but later can even carry a sack of rice on your back?
“Perhaps Zahid is the one who should become a zoologist. He should specialise in chameleons, where the former deputy prime minister can immediately can become a loyal student to a ‘teacher’ right after a meeting,” PAS youth chief Ahmad Fadhli Shaari said , in a Facebook post.
Ahmad Fadhli was alluding to an audio clip that went viral last year, which was alleged to be conversation between Zahid and PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. In the conversation, “Zahid” had proclaimed “Anwar” as his teacher after chairing a UMNO supreme council meeting.
Yesterday, Zahid broke his silence on UMNO being labelled as a “lame duck” party by Hadi, adding the latter should switch his profession from a politician to zoologist.
Remember Muslim unity?
“I followed a lot of the leader’s interviews and speeches. There were a lot of animal-related allusions (used).
“I think it’s good that he has changed his profession from politician to zoologist,” Malaysiakini reported him as saying at the launch of the BN machinery at the EduCity Sports Complex Indoor Stadium, Iskandar Puteri, Johor last night.
On that note, Ahmad Fadhli said that when Hadi called UMNO “lame duck”, it was just a figure of speech when a leader from the nationalist party stated that PAS was trying to “teach a duck how to swim”.
“But telling our president to become a zoologist was uncalled for. I wish to remind our friends in UMNO, be it their MPs or ministers, to remain committed to the spirit of Muslim unity,” he mentioned. – Feb 6, 2022.
