GLOBAL MOBILITY and urban services platform inDrive today celebrated the achievements of its top-performing driver-partners at the Platinum Driver League 2026, while reaffirming its commitment to building a fairer and more sustainable ride-hailing ecosystem in Malaysia.
The Platinum Driver League 2026 award presentation ceremony, the event brought together driver-partners and company leaders to recognise the contributions of drivers who continue to play an important role in keeping communities connected across Malaysia.
The session also highlighted inDrive Malaysia’s latest growth momentum and priorities for the year ahead.
Compared with January 2026, completed rides increased by 8.7%, active driver-partners grew by 10.2%, and passenger numbers rose by 1.9%.
On a month-on-month basis, the active driver base grew by 5.5% in May 2026, while passenger numbers increased by 1.1% compared with April 2026.
The company also announced a major operational milestone with the successful renewal of its ride-hailing operations licence, allowing inDrive to continue serving Malaysians until 2028.
As ride-hailing platforms across Asia-Pacific increasingly compete on service quality, driver availability, safety and operational efficiency, inDrive Malaysia is placing greater emphasis on initiatives that support driver-partners beyond ride earnings.
This includes efforts to help drivers manage operating costs more effectively while continuing to provide reliable and accessible mobility options for passengers.
This commitment was reflected in inDrive’s limited-time 1% commission campaign in Klang Valley, which ran from April to May 2026.
The campaign enabled driver-partners to retain a larger share of their earnings while reinforcing inDrive’s commitment to building a fairer and more sustainable ride-hailing ecosystem.
Azlan Anwar, Driver Operations Manager, inDrive Malaysia said, “Our growth in Malaysia is only possible because of the driver-partners who keep communities moving every day. As the cost of driving continues to rise, we believe platforms have a role to play in helping drivers manage their expenses, earn more sustainably and feel valued for the work they do. The Platinum Driver League is one way we recognise their contributions. By supporting drivers more meaningfully, we can also deliver better experiences for passengers and contribute to the long-term growth of Malaysia’s gig economy.”
Recognising outstanding driver-partners through Platinum Driver League 2026
Following strong participation in its inaugural edition last year, the Platinum Driver League returned from 27 April to 31 May 2026, offering prizes worth more than RM100,000 to eligible driver-partners across Klang Valley, Johor Bahru and Penang.
Participants stood a chance to win weekly rewards including smartphones, tablets, dashcams and fuel vouchers, while the campaign’s grand prizes included a Perodua Bezza 1.3 Advance 2026 and a Yamaha NVX motorcycle.
This year’s 1st-place winner completed an impressive 1,347 rides during the one-month campaign period, standing out among thousands of active Platinum drivers nationwide.
The campaign also recorded an encouraging average 8.7% rise in completed rides, reflecting strong driver engagement throughout the challenge.
The initiative reflects inDrive’s continued commitment to fostering a fair and inclusive mobility ecosystem while recognising the vital role driver-partners play in keeping communities connected.
As Malaysia’s gig economy continues to evolve, inDrive remains committed to investing in initiatives that strengthen driver engagement, promote sustainable growth and deliver long-term value to both drivers and passengers. —June 19, 2026
