Is Anwar buying MPs from Bersatu or is it karma hitting back at Muhyiddin?

NETIZENS are attacking the Perikatan Nasional (PN) and their supporters, who are criticising the four Bersatu MPs who have given official support to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

In a post on X today, a prominent PN influencer said 10 MPs from Bersatu will quit the party to support the Madani government.

(There are a total of 10 Bersatu MPs expected to declare support for Anwar. Richard has received this information. Currently, four have declared and the remaining six or more are expected to join soon. Goodbye, everyone. Tired. Even with 147 seats, the opposition continues to buy more. Seems foolish.)

However, the response from netizens is not what Richard would have expected. They are ganging up against Bersatu and former premier Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

Some netizens are saying with sarcasm that in 2020, Bersatu orchestrated the infamous Sheraton Move. In 2023, the party is now breaking with a ‘Reverse Sheraton’.

But, among the sarcastic and cynical comments, one picture posted by a user on X defines the current debacle Bersatu is facing.

Moreover, some users are saying enough is enough with the opposition’s campaign to bring down the government. Some are reminding the poster of the attempts to cause the collapse of Anwar’s regime in August, which then transpired to be unfulfilled.

(We are tired of hearing the PN faction constantly talking about tearing down the roof without end. Thank God, finally, God has shown. Evil intentions will not prevail. Thank God.)

Meanwhile, user @AwangBara1Β sent a positive message in the thread.

(Assume goodwill; perhaps the well-being of the people is prioritised. Why fight when national stability is more important? The prosperity of the people is a responsibilty, even among different groups.) – Nov 11, 2023
