AMID all the dins over clemency in the form of house arrest for incarcerated former premier Datuk Seri Najib Razak, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has uploaded a midnight social media post hash-tagged #throwback of memories while serving jail sentence for his sod*my conviction in the Sungai Buloh Prison.
Aptly entitled “Memories in Sungai Buloh”, the post captured an image of a frail and thin-looking PMX “meeting family behind glass, (and conversing with them) only by phone”.
“Moments that will stay in your memory,” penned PMX in the three-liner post which at the time of writing has amassed 25.7K likes, 4.1K comments and 680 shares.
The underlying motive or intention behind the post is subject to speculation with anti-Bossku advocate Najib Razak Must Go pointing to the figure “11” outside the glass partition of the visitation booth.
“PMX posted this photo a few hours ago. But why? Is this yet another cryptic message from PMX?” wondered the Facebooker who is active in campaigning against Bossku.
“Is the cryptic message ‘11’? What is ‘11’?”
The political advocate went on to reveal that Bossku’s “favourite number (is) 11”:
- Najib’s house number: 11
- Najib’s father’s birthday: March 11
- Najib’s mother’s birthday: June 11
- Najib’s first child’s birthday: May 11
- Najib is the 11th Orang Kaya (major chieftains) of Pahang
- Najib is also the 11th Pahang Menteri Besar
- UMNO’s founding date: May 11 (1946)
- Najib dissolved Parliament (for 2018 national polls): April 7 (7 + 4 = 11)
Beyond the above, Bossku’s “car plates are all 11, too”, revealed a commenter.
“You missed your jail days, bro”
Well, PMX’s post received mix responses depending on one’s political affiliation as gauged from his FB page.
Madani backers poured in their sympathy while praising PMX for his heroics by having braved and survived his ordeal behind bars.
“I pray that PMX continues to lead the country with strength for terms to come,” asserted a woman commenter.
“There is nothing wrong with reflecting on the past. After all, Prophet Yusuf went from prison to becoming the supreme ruler of Egypt. 💖”
Added another seemingly Madani backer: “From the lowest of places, Allah elevates one to the highest. Who knows Allah’s plans?”
One pious soul seconded: “Allah (SWT) has power over all things – raising up and bringing down … such is the cycle of life … from the lowest point in one’s life yet, ultimately – Alhamdulillah – Allah also has the power to lift us up.”
However, one wondered what “big hint🤭👀” is PMX trying to showcase by recounting his days behind bars.
“That he’ll remain PM as long as Sabah and Sarawak stay with PH (Pakatan Harapan). After GE16, the prison will turn blue … just wait and see! 😁” quipped one feedback while another reckoned that PMX maybe sending a subtle caution to his deputy and UMNO president Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
“He (PMX) entered the scene back when he held the DPM post. It seems the hint points to the current DPM or Menteri Besar. Pak Sheikh (moniker for PMX) certainly likes dropping hints when such need arises,” he justified.
On the other extreme, detractors seized the moment to mock PMX that “the prison doors are always open him if he misses staying behind bars”.
“Datuk Seri, are you missing Sungai Buloh? 🤣🤣🤣,” jibed one commenter while another linked PMX’s tendency of taking over the phone (to world leaders as appeared on his social media pages) to his prison days.
“No wonder that after you got out of prison, you’ve this urge to keep talking on the phone. After all, while inside, you couldn’t talk (to visitors/family members) without one. Maybe you miss getting back in there.”
Last but not the least, one chided PMX as to “where are your wheelchair and neck brace?”
“The wheelchair is currently been used by (PAS president Tan Sri) Hadi Awang,” teased another. – Sept 22, 2026
