MALAYSIANS are getting fast and furious this fasting month. Previously it was a gangster ustad who broke the nose of a driver. Then it was a non-muslim who got slapped for eating.
It sure is a slapping month because here comes another video that went viral where a lebai-figure could be seen slapping a security guard.
“What’s the problem with these kopiah tribe, beard tribe and songkok tribe? Why are they getting out of hand?” said @ShamaaKoussa who shared the video on X.
bulan puasa ❌
bulan tampar ✅kesian abang guard, buat kerja dia je tapi kene ditampar…
apa masalah dgn puak kopiah, puak songkok, puak janggut ni? kenapa makin menjadi ni??
kalau perselisihan pun, bukan sebab nak tampar orang lain….abang guard tu tak mengancam pun pic.twitter.com/qfqDh8BSlO

The video has since garnered quite an amount of hate from the online community, who condemned these lebai-figures in their religious attires.
“When it comes to the guard, school children and autistic children, they straight away become gangsters,” said netizen @Knightspeed1.
Another netizen also pointed out those cars with the “bismillah” and “iloveislam” stickers adhered on them, which happened to have terrible drivers.
“Why are there so many cases of being slapped this year? Did they swallow a tiger during sahur?” @aqilahfauzii wondered.
Perhaps the winning comment goes to @HafidzHamzah7E who said, “They can’t blame the devil as the devil has been tied up.”
Then there was @hedra_lv claiming that their slapping culture was probably influenced by the short Chinese drama.
“A long time ago, it was the mothers who slapped the children,” said @SaifulA77188378, adding that it was a feminine act of aggression. He said it was amusing to watch men fight by slapping each other.
@RShauqi12608 was a voice of positivity among all the hatred and verbal bashing. He said it was not the problem of the clothes people wear but the attitude of the people wearing it.
“Bad people are just bad even if they wear good clothes,” he said among other things.
Perhaps the poor guard deserved some attention too as given by @iamnotreiko who said, “Someone please give the guard a salary raise. How he kept his cool even though he was mistreated. Such a fine gentleman.”—Mar 21, 2025
