Is Zamri Vinoth aware that he’s running down his own ancestors with fake CNN infographic?

MUSLIM convert preacher Zamri Vinoth may think he is doing the right thing by borrowing a chapter from the on-going Pakistan-India conflict to sow hatred among his newfound Muslim brethren against Malaysian Hindus.

But certainly not by relying on fake information to generate ‘likes’ and all the despicable comments that belittle the faith of his own ancestors to say the least.

In his haste to sling mud on the faith of his forefathers which he seemingly has a bone to pick, the Angkatan Skuad Mubaligh Malaysia president has overlooked the fact that a set of ‘war casualty’ statistics purportedly published by CNN which he posted on his Facebook (FB) page is fake.

Sadly, he has not owned up to the misinformation at the time of writing while his ignorant fans are gladly humiliating Malaysian Indians of Hindu faith with all types of name-calling.

According to the Indian Ministry of External Affairs (MEAIndia), the fake infographic “exaggerated figures of Indian losses such as 6 jet losses, 553 drone losses and 11 affected airbases compared to minimal Pakistani casualties”.

“Prominently stamped ‘FAKE’ by the PIB (Press Information Bureau) Fact Check, the infographic falsely asserted that the losses were acknowledged by Indian sources and even went so far as to credit former US President Donald Trump for ‘curbing India’s losses’,” clarified MEAIndia in a statement.

In fact, a CNN spokesperson further told Lead Stories that the global news network did not air the graphic and that it was “fabricated”.

“There are no official numbers of jets, drones, tanks, soldiers and civilians lost by India and Pakistan during the May 2025 fighting but each side claims killing dozens of the other country’s troops,” revealed the spokesperson.

Editor’s Note: Lead Stories is a fact checking website that is always looking for the latest false, misleading, deceptive or inaccurate stories, videos or images going viral on the internet.

Whether Zamri’s sharing of fake information constitutes any breaches to the law upheld by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) is one thing but most importantly is whether he has crossed the 3R (race, religion and royalty) line to run down another religion.

“But if you ask the cow dung eater, they will say India won the battle, you know why? Because too much consumption of cow dung can make you delusion(al),” he had penned on his FB post.

“God is only One so worship the Creator not the Creation. Cow, monkey, elephant, sun, tree, idols, stone and all the created things are not God”.

As one rare visitor to his FB page reminded him, “war ain’t Olympics” whereby both sides will “always lost for the aftermath will impact the common people living in both countries”.

“Hence, instead of flexing the victory or insulting the losers, I hope you can find a place in your heart to offer prayers that a war was successfully negated and the world is in peace again,” suggested the peace-loving netizen.

“Let’s pray Zamri and hopefully our prayers will make the world a better place. 🙏” – May 14, 2025
