THIRTY-ONE Barisan Nasional (BN) MPs will continue backing the Perikatan Nasional (PN) Government until the confidence vote in Parliament can be tabled in September, said Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
The UMNO vice-president and Bera MP said in a press conference on Friday (Aug 6) at Menara DBKL that the support is expressed by 21 MPs in the press conference and 10 others who are not in attendance.
“Any statutory declarations or move to bring down the current Government goes against the Yang di-Pertuan Agong’s decree,” Ismail Sabri said.
Also present at the gathering were Ketereh MP Tan Sri Annuar Musa, Kota Tinggi MP Datuk Halimah Mohd Sadique, Kuala Kangsar MP Datuk Mastura Mohd Yazid, Padang Rengas MP Datuk Seri Nazri Abdul Aziz and Padang Terap MP Mahdzir Khalid, among others.
Meanwhile, those in agreement but not in attendance at today’s press conference are Jelebu MP Jalaludin Alias, Kepala Batas Datuk Seri Reezal Merican Naina Merican, Kimanis MP Datuk Mohamad Alamin, Parit MP Datuk Mohd Nizar Zakaria, Putrajaya MP Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor, Rembau MP Khairy Jamaluddin and Sembrong MP Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein. – Aug 6, 2021.
