AFTER being accused of being DAP’s puppet, the Malaysian United Democratic Alliance (MUDA) took to Twitter to respond to PAS president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang’s claims.
In a one-minute video, MUDA president Syed Saddiq Abdul Rahman started of by saying that he respected Hadi as senior politician.
After that, he stated on how his party was established to bring new politics to Malaysia, where it is premised on mature politics, honesty and integrity.
“Don’t simple label us as puppets just because our party are mostly made up of youngsters. MUDA is eager to learn and even more eager to serve all Malaysians, irrespective of race and religion,” he said.

Yesterday, Hadi alleged that MUDA was created by the DAP to deceive Malay youths. He even likened the new party to PAS’ splinter party, Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah).
“DAP created Amanah. I know that they recruited PAS people to establish Amanah. “Now it’s the same with MUDA. It is to bait Malay youths. Don’t take the bait,” Malaysiakini reported the PAS supremo as saying earlier today.
I helped Kelantan and Terengganu too
Reminiscing the past, Syed Saddiq reminded PAS on how he did his best to help all states in Malaysia, irrespective of their political affiliation.
Citing an example, the former minister said he had supported policies such as getting special allocations to states like Kelantan and Terengganu.
“In fact, as youth and sports minister back then, I brought back the SUKMA Games to Kelantan with an allocation of over RM200 mil. That is called mature politics, where we come together as Malaysia,” Syed Saddiq mentioned.
The Muar MP then reminded the public that MUDA’s establishment was aimed at making Malaysia a developed country; premised on integrity.
“While we may be young but MUDA members have experience in serving the people and bring new politics, where honour and integrity play important roles,” Syed Saddiq concluded. – Feb 20, 2022.
