Jojo back to winning ways with first-round TKO in Bangkok

MALAYSIA’S Muay Thai prodigy Johan Ghazali Zulfikar bounced back in style with a first-round technical knockout (TKO) victory over Morocco’s Zakaria El Jamari at ONE Fight Night 35 in Bangkok’s Lumpinee Stadium earlier today.

The 18-year-old, fondly known as “Jojo”, needed just two minutes and 10 seconds to secure his first win of 2025 in the flyweight division.

From the opening bell, Jojo launched a relentless assault of punches and kicks, pinning Zakaria against the ropes. A powerful body shot followed by a sharp elbow ended the contest, with the referee stepping in to halt proceedings.

The victory is a crucial boost for Jojo, who had lost three of his last four bouts, dampening his world title aspirations. Unlike previous defeats, he displayed composure and precision, never allowing Zakaria a chance to recover.

For Zakaria, the defeat marks his second consecutive loss to a Malaysian fighter. — Sept 6, 2025
