#KerajaanDerhaka trends following Agong’s earlier remarks

IN between Olympic excitement and Parliament drama, Malaysians were united once again by #KerajaanDerhaka, which trended on Twitter.

This comes after Yang  di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah’s recent announcement that de facto Law Minister Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan had misled the Parliament on the annulment of the emergency ordinances.

“Today will be remembered as the day Malaysia is exposed by abuse of power and self-broken laws. [This] invalidates whatever they have enforced throughout this darurat. Democracy is dead again in Malaysia. Doors of dictatorship are now opening,” wrote a user.

“This government is a disgrace. Full of frogs, liars and traitors apparently,” concurred another.

“Only two words for this Cabinet: Padan muka (serves you right),” commented user Yu Hang Low.

Another user expressed his relief that Istana Negara had spoken. “I was hoping for a statement from Istana since Monday. Finally it’s out. Most importantly, it’s not too late,” he wrote.

Meanwhile, user Adrian Sarron wondered what Prime Minister Tan Sri Mahiaddin Yassin is doing at home while the Parliament sitting is ongoing. “Cirit (diarrhoea) again? I cannot brain (understand) this,” he said. – July 29, 2021.
