Klang Valley registers the highest number of new COVID-19 cases on Monday

MALAYSIA recorded 4,842 new COVID-19 cases on Monday (Nov 22), with Klang Valley holding the majority at 1,628, followed closely by Selangor at 1,363.

According to the Health Ministry’s CovidNow website, the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country since the pandemic started now stands at 2,580,874.

The site also showed that 5,525 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours, with a total of 2,487,809 patients discharged since the COVID-19 outbreak began.

There were also 24 fatalities recorded with four patients brought in dead (BID), bringing the death toll to 30,002.

The total number of active cases in the country is now 68,790, with 80% of them (55,026) being subjected to home quarantine.

Additionally, 274 people are being treated in intensive care units (ICUs), with 267 of them requiring ventilator support. – Nov 22, 2021
