LANGKAWI: Tourism operators here have taken a step forward to kick-start the sector as it prepares for life post-Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) by embarking on a promotional campaign that offers discounted rates and packages via a special website.
General manager of Taman Buaya Langkawi, Adam Fuaad, said so far 15 tourism product operators have come together to offer visitors up to 70% discount on entrance tickets.
The website http://www.pulaulangkawi.my/ was created by Taman Buaya Langkawi in collaboration with Mega Water Sports and Langkawi Development Authority (LADA) to facilitate the search for attractive and unique tourism package deals available on the island, without the use of agents or middlemen.
“Through this website we list all offers extended by the participating outlet operators, among them, Taman Buaya, Junglewalla Tours, Umgawa Zipline Adventure, Langkawi SkyCab, Tropical Charters and Mega Water Sports.
“Reservations can be made via the website and they are valid for up to a year,” Adam said. — May 6, 2020, Bernama
