Where the world comes together

Overlooking the Victoria Harbour, this hotel in Hong Kong offers spectacular views of the famed harbour.

On the corner of Nathan Road and Salisbury Road, commanding a spectacular view of Victoria Harbour, sits Sheraton Hong Kong Hotel & Towers.

Located along the famed harbour, this hotel is situated at the prime location in the heart of the city’s business, shopping and entertainment district in Tsim Sha Tsui.

Checking into Sheraton Hong Kong over a recent weekend, this writer was immediately bowled over by its surrounding scenery (but of course) and attentive service. I also liked that the hotel is steps away from public transportation options such as Tsim Sha Tsui MTR Station, Express Rail Link and the ferry terminal.

Overall, the hotel offers 782 sleek, inviting rooms and suites, offering guests the ideal places to relax, work and play in Kowloon. Many of its accommodations showcase sweeping views of Victoria Harbour, setting the stage for an unforgettable stay.

All of its rooms are completely sound proof and are equipped with high-speed direct Internet access and data ports. They contain temperature controlled air-conditioning, electronic safe and IDD service. There is a mini bar with coffee and tea making facilities, as well as a 37-inch LCD TV, DVD player, iPod docking system and a 24-hour movie channel.

Bathrooms are fitted with luxurious touches such as marble floors, glass vanities and massage showerheads. A restful night is ensured with its Sheraton Signature Sleep Experience Beds. For the guest’s convenience, each room has a profiled glass desk with task lighting. In addition, every room contains stylish furnishings in soothing colours, with the majority of them commanding a breath-taking view.

On the top two floors of the hotel, the Sheraton Towers exemplifies the hotel within a hotel concept. It adds an extra dimension with a private reception, exclusive lounge, boardroom and concierge services. Upon arrival, guests are warmly welcomed by attentive concierge. A glass elevator overlooking lively Salisbury and Nathan Road whisks them up from the main lobby to the exclusive Towers reception on Level 16 where helpful staff offers personalised yet efficient check-in service.

With more than 15,000sqft for the ballroom and 14 sophisticated function rooms, Sheraton Hong Kong Hotel & Towers offers versatility to suit all types of meetings and events. The newly renovated Ching Terrace is a one-of-a-kind venue with an alfresco courtyard for special occasions.

As for dining and entertainment, there are a host of restaurants and lounges, combined to offer Asian and Western culinary specialities. These include Celestial Court, Unkai Japanese Cuisine, The Café, Oyster & Wine Bar, Sky Lounge, Wineroom, Zen Lounge and Lobby Lounge.

Last but certainly not least, you’re advised to check out the hotel’s health club, spa  and sauna, including a rooftop pool. This swimming pool is definitely one of my favourite features of the hotel, offering not just relaxation but an unbeatable view of the city beyond.
