Lim Goh Tong’s grandson to tap ‘a slice of’ RM18.9 tril health & wellness market

THIS is a case of probably looking beyond the family’s prized casino-cum-gambling business. Who knows if there could indeed be unexplored gems and treasures outside the realm of the family’s core business.

Lim Keong Han, the second of Genting Bhd’s patriarch Tan Sri Lim Kok Thay’s three sons, has made headway in setting a new business direction by founding Pegasus Aqua Sdn Bhd, a home-grown health and wellness company which today officially rolled out its revolutionary molecular resonance effect technology (MRET) water activator.

Its MRET water activator is currently the only device that is authorised in Southeast Asia to utilise the patented molecular resonance effect technology that changes the molecular bonds of water molecules in order to be better absorbed by cells in the human body.

Consuming MRET activated water has shown to provide both healing and rejuvenation benefits through enhanced hydration. Discovered 20 years ago by Russian inventor and scientist, Dr Igor Smirnov, the MRET activated water has already gained popularity in key markets like the US, Japan and Europe.

Pegasus Aqua aims to market this unique technology in the high-growth Southeast Asia market by becoming the current and only exclusive distributor for MRET Water Activator in Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam and the Philippines.

“My late grandfather and founder of Genting Group, Tan Sri Lim Goh Tong, was the one who introduced the healing and rejuvenating benefits of MRET activated water to our family,” recalled Keong Han who is also Pegasus Aqua’s CEO.

“Inspired by his positive testimonials and encouraged by the potential growth of the health and wellness market in Malaysia and across the world, we decided the timing is ideal to expand this device in the region.”

According ResearchAndMarkets.com, the global health and wellness market reached a value of US$3.3 tril (RM14.54 tril) in 2021 and is expected to reach US$4.3 tril (RM18.94 tril) by 2027, growing at a CAGR (compound annual growth rate) of 4.2% during 2022-2027.

“Pegasus Aqua intends to leverage on the growing affluence in the Southeast Asia region and the high demand for quality and innovative health and wellness products to carve a strong niche for our MRET Water Activator and achieve our revenue target of over RM20 mil in the next two to three years,” projected Lim who is also Genting Bhd’s vice President (resort operations).

Elaborating further on the MRET water activator, Dr Smirnov who has a Ph.D. in clinical psychology, said, the device is a water purifier that changes the bond angle of H20 from 104.5° to 114.5°.

“Our studies have shown that the benefits of consuming MRET activated water include enhanced hydration, improved metabolism, strengthened morphology, increased immunity, healthier skin and improved vitality,” he shared.

“We are pleased to work with Pegasus Aqua to bring this ground-breaking health and wellness device to Malaysia and across Southeast Asia. We are confident that Pegasus Aqua has the market insights and passion to make MRET water activator a leading health and wellness product to discerning consumers throughout the region.”

Dr Smirnov has been awarded two US patents for his MRET Water Activator, namely “Method and Device for producing Activated Liquids” and “Methods of use thereof”.

Pegasus Aqua MRET Water Activator is equipped with certified advanced nanotech polymers and comes with the latest frequency generator motherboard developed and designed by Dr Smirnov.

Each device comes with a high-power, high-capacity re-chargeable Li-Ion battery designed to ensure ultra-long life while giving maximum effective activating signal strength during each use.

Pegasus Aqua MRET Water Activator has a recommended retail price of RM4,500 per unit. – June 28, 2022
