THE unity government led by Prime Minister (PM) Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is currently the most stable, solid and strong, said DAP secretary-general Anthony Loke Siew Fook.
“Despite various attempts by the opposition to disrupt, claim that the government will fall or there will be a change of the PM… the fact is that the government is now in a strong position and all parties (in the government) have given the highest commitment to maintaining the cooperation of the unity government.
“PH (Pakatan Harapan), BN (Barisan Nasional), GPS (Gabungan Parti Sarawak) and GRS (Gabungan Rakyat Sabah) have each committed to supporting this government over and over again… the position of the Perpaduan government every day is getting stronger, more strong and stable,” he said.
Loke added that the understanding and commitment of all political parties in the unity government are the keys to the stability of the government.
The reality of the unity among the ruling parties has destroyed the claims of some parties that the unity government will collapse anytime soon, said Loke during a speech at the opening of the Kuala Lumpur Federal Territory DAP Annual State Convention at the DAP Headquarters on Sunday.
Moreover, the Transport Minister stated that DAP is also confident that the various policies planned by the unity government can be implemented as best as possible and that every decision or plan drawn up is practical according to the needs of the people and the national economy.
“We (DAP) remain with our struggle, especially in ensuring that Malaysia remains a progressive country, a pluralistic society with moderate policies and not geared towards extremists,” Bernama quoted him as saying. – Dec 17, 2023
