Loob Holding gets a new facelift

ALTHOUGH the bubble tea craze has slowed down significantly in recent months, that doesn’t mean things are looking bad for Loob Holding Sdn Bhd. On the contrary, the company is giving its bubble tea brand, Tealive a new look in partnership with Niro Ceramic Creative Lab Sdn Bhd.

Despite the conditional movement control order (CMCO) being extended slowed down sales for the bubble tea market, Loob Holding will be making ergonomic improvements and provide aesthetic enhancements to its outlets across the nation before the end of 2021.

What started with only 27 outlets, the improvements have now been extended to be done to an additional 100 outlets.

“Although Creative Lab and Loob Holding come from seemingly different backgrounds, both entities are home-grown Malaysian success stories in their own right.

“We actually have a lot in common. Having gained popularity in traditional industries – tea and tiling – both our companies utilise creativity and innovation to develop within our respective business verticals,” said Creative Lab chief retail officer Keith Loh.

Echoing Loh’s sentiments, Loob Holding founder and CEO Bryan Loo said it is a timely collaboration for Tealive to unveil its stores’ new look and feel. “We are glad this collaboration is both timely and fruitful as we now offer Tealive 3.0 to take modern tea culture to the next level.”

Putting the ‘tea’ in teamwork

With Tealive 3.0, the brand now offers Tealive Eats that provides a range of hot snacks and finger food was extended to Deli Bakes, a new line of baked snacks and merchandise for the modern grab-and-go crowd.

In celebration of this partnership, Creative Lab will be giving out discounts of up to 20% to Tealive customers who present their Tealive membership cards at any Creative Lab outlet from Dec 7 to 20.

Loob Holding has never been a stranger when it comes to partnerships and collaboration, even with overseas players.

In 2018, Loob Holdings inked a joint venture with two companies in China, namely Zhejiang Boduo International Trade Co Ltd and Shanghai Panfei International Trade Co Ltd, with the objective of bringing 500 Tealive stores to various cities around China up until 2021.

Its first outlet in Shanghai that was launched on Nov 21, 2018 received tremendous response with overwhelming demand for durian-flavoured tea base products followed by other Malaysian flavours like cempedak (jack fruit), gula Melaka (brown sugar), Bentong ginger and Sabah-originated tea. – Dec 2, 2020
