THE road holds countless horror stories of vehicular accidents and road kill that will put any scary movies to shame.
But that fear factor is ramped up to the next level when a heavy vehicle such as a six wheeler is involved.
According to netizen MYNEWSHUB in a post on X, five family members died after their vehicle was crushed by a sand-carrying lorry at an intersection at Desa College, Nilai, Negeri Sembilan.

The post containing a series of videos and photos showed the wreckage of a car under the front wheels of the lorry. It was a Perodua Ativa, and barely recognisable.
Further updates revealed that the statistics posted were inaccurate. A statement by the police of Nilai district stated that the accident involved six vehicles and one death, at Jalan Persiaran Negeri near the traffic light junction of Persiaran Golf at Nilai, Negeri Sembilan.

The report continued, stating that the tragedy occurred at 3.45pm, involving one Nissan lorry of the tipper category driven by a 30 years old man on the way to Bandar Baru Salak Tinggi, Sepang and heading to the city centre of Nilai.
Upon reaching the traffic light junction of Persiaran Golf, Nilai, he lost control of the vehicle and rammed into five cars that were waiting there at the red light.
Due to the accident, a 31 year old lady who was driving a Perodua Ativa was trapped in the driver seat.
The victim incurred extensive injury to the head and body, and was pronounced dead on the spot. On the other hand, four victims in a Perodua Alza sustained light injuries only.
The lorry driver and four other victims driving a Honda Civic, Nissan Serena, Suzuki Swift, however, were uninjured.
Those injured and killed were brought to Hospital Tuanku Jaafar, Seremban by the public and ambulance for further treatment. – Sept 29, 2024
