LAST week, users on X claimed that a Perikatan National (PN) member and former UMNO MP Tan Sri Annuar Musa wore a RM14,000 Louis Vuitton jacket during the campaign in Nenggiri, pointing out that he was distributing Maggie Mee to potential voters.
They said the political figure was showing off to impress the voters.
Today, after the defeat of the PN in the by-elections by the Barisan Nasional (BN), the photo of the political figure with the LV jacket is now a meme.
Users on X are asking the politician if he is giving up the fight after this smashing defeat in Nenggiri.

In a controversial post on Facebook, the former MP now a PAS member said, “2945 pengundi puteh tak keluar…cash is King?”
Users on Facebook did not take the comments lightly, saying that such an accusation demands an investigation.
However, Facebook user Pakatan Harapan Supporters commented, “You’ve lost, Tan Sri Annuar Musa, meaning the Malay people & native people reject the PAS/PN religious gang.. Malay people want change through economics too.. goodbye PAS.”
The post by the PAS member shows pictures of the BN candidate’s campaign collateral side by side with envelopes and cash, suggesting that there was vote buying during the campaign in Nenggiri.
Nevertheless, a user pointed out that anyone could have put such pictures together to put the blame on BN. They ask if there is a video that shows the people taking an oath to vote after taking money.
