Free mobile data and online learning materials to students stuck at home

IN collaboration with YES and FrogAsia, YTL Foundation is providing free mobile data and online learning materials to all students in government schools.

Although schools are closed and students are cooped up at home, the foundation believes it’s important to keep their minds active, especially since the Movement Control Order has been extended to April 14.

YTL Foundation found that many families have limited access to learning resources and not everyone can afford to pay for internet connectivity for learning.

YES will be providing each family with up to five free 4G prepaid SIM cards for their school-going children. Each SIM card comes with a 40GB monthly data plan that will be valid for 60 days upon activation. These SIM cards will be delivered to registered home addresses.

With the free data, students can download FrogPlay Mobile, FrogAsia’s home revision app – a gamified app with revision quizzes for all core subjects for all years curated by an education publisher, Pelangi.

Quizzes on FrogPlay Mobile are aligned with the national school syllabus and learning standards. The app engages learners in a fun and interactive way through FrogPlay games. – March 25, 2020
