KUALA LUMPUR: India’s biggest airline, IndiGo, has launched its new integrated brand campaign “India Calling” to stimulate international tourist traffic to India from Malaysia.
Chief commercial officer William Boulter said the campaign, kickstarting in Malaysia, was aimed at creating awareness about India as an international travel destination and promoting tourism and trade between the two countries through increased mobility.
“IndiGo’s direct connections to Kuala Lumpur and its extensive network within India will help tourists travel and explore the length and breadth of the country,” he said in a statement today (Feb 5).
The low-cost airline operates three daily nonstop flights between India and Malaysia, connecting to 60 domestic destinations such as Agra, Jaipur, Jammu, Kolkata, Gaya, Kochi, Aurangabad and Ahmedabad.
“The fares on IndiGo start from as low as RM635 from Kuala Lumpur to Chennai for customers booking their tickets through the website and mobile application,” said Boulter. – Feb 5, 2020, Bernama
