WEPACK ASEAN 2023 which is touted to be Southeast Asia’s maiden large-scale packaging exhibition opens its door today in the quest to propel the region’s packaging industry to greater heights.
Staged at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), the three-day event (till Nov 24) by Reed Exhibitions (RX) is expected to welcome more than 4,000 delegates from the packaging industry in Southeast Asia and beyond.
Over 200 global players who are big boys of the industry will be featured, including Dongfang Precision, Fosber Asia, Eternal, Wonder, Hsieh Hsu, Wanlian, Xiehelong, Li Shenq, DGM, Keshenglong and Sansin, to name a few.
In a nutshell, WEPACK ASEAN 2023 is designed for industry players worldwide to facilitate knowledge exchange on emerging trends, thus enabling them to stimulate market vitality toward efficiency and cost savings by promoting international business cooperation.
“This is the first time RX is bringing the WEPACK Brand from China to Malaysia. There are a few themes at WEPACK ASEAN 2023, including Corrugated ASEAN 2023, FoldingCarton ASEAN 2023, DPrint ASEAN 2023 and Paper ASEAN 2023,” commented RX Greater China’s chief operating officer Josephine Lee.
“This will be a great platform for Southeast Asia’s industry players to network and build business partnerships. Besides the exhibition, there are several concurrent forums and factory visits during the next three days.”
Added Malaysian Corrugated Carton Manufacturers Association (MACCMA) chairman Henry Low: “We are thankful and appreciative of our partnership with Reed Exhibitions which has enough experience in the packaging sector since they established SinoCorrugated 22 years ago.”
Apart from MACCMA, WEPACK ASEAN 2023 is also supported by the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) and the Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB).
